Hospital stay pictures

April and me in the waiting room just before going back for surgery prep...way too early in the morning, as you can see the sun isn't even up yet (not even close).

In surgery prep, just got my I/V in my hand and am probably answering medical history for the 3rd time at this point.

My wife April and mom Ruby hangin' with me just before going to surgery.

Me and my wonderful surgeon, Dr. Michael Snyder

Out of surgery, just taking a nap (did a lot of this the first day).

Up for my first post surgery walk, about 5 hours after coming out of surgery.  I may be smiling, but believe me at this point it was forced.

April and me out for another walk. This was on Tuesday and far easier than in the picture above. (sorry it's blurry)

Doing my breathing exercises to make sure I don't come down with  Pneumonia after surgery.

My friend and fellow gastric bypass patient Marie Silverstein visiting me in the hospital. Showing me some of her pictures from her surgery.  She is just short of 3 weeks post-op in this picture.
Just spending some time sitting up in the room. You reach a point where anything is better than just staying in bed any longer.  However after an hour i really wanted to be back in bed.
